Digital Dissent

Established Democracies

Governing bodies in general seem to be the largest cause or source of dissent, this is because changes made by them effect nearly everyone, making it fairly easy to upset a large group of people. Often dissent on a government level happens on a small scale, at least in comparison to last weeks example, the occupy movement. However the reach of such displays of dissent is usually far greater than that of even the largest of activist activities. The examples of such instances of dissent caused by governing bodies is endless, just about anything the FCC does in the US is followed by some kind of dissent, similarly anything the Australian government does than involves a change of the tax system,  I could almost guarantee some kind of dissent that can be pinned down to one digital place.
